Interesting insects and great subjects as they tend to stay still for some time.

Monarch Emerging.

How lucky was this beautiful find!

Paper Mill.

This looked quite eerie with the steam and being late afternoon on an overcast day.

More Easter Hats.

This was taken close to 15 years ago on an Aboriginal community. It is best enlarged to see the delight on the kids faces as they were proud of their efforts and they loved having their photos taken.

The kids were very proud of their hats and showing them off.

Known as brumbies in outback Australia, and are sometimes seen in large numbers.

Monarch Butterfly Profile.

It's lovely to see a striped caterpillar evolve into a beautiful butterfly.

Another Monarch Caterpillar.

I've been practicing again with an old camera of mine since my favourite one just died, very sad.

Wednesday 7 February 2018

Alpaca Catch Up.

It was good to see that their beautiful coats had regrown, as I don't think they suit being fleece free.

Tuesday 6 February 2018

Monarch Butterfly Mates.

Quite amazing the things you see when you start checking the garden. These two were together for a very long time, and the wings were closed as there were other butterflies around.

Golden Light.

Such a beautiful evening light.

Friday 2 February 2018

Monarch Caterpillar Killer.

I finally found what was paralysing the caterpillars, and caught it in action. It looks like it has an ?appendage that pierces them, not just one, but quite a few in an area of the plant.

Thursday 1 February 2018

Baby Magpie.

It's so delightful coming to the back door for something to eat,  talking and singing to us, and we don't get swooped.
